Sunshine and TrashPosted Saturday, March 22, 2008, at 7:31 PM
Warmer weather means outdoor activities, sunshine and trash?
While enjoying the sunshine, warmth and the annual rebirth of Mother Earth, please don't litter. Whether it be during a cookout, ball game or walk in the park remember to leave your outdoor destination free of fast food wrappers, disposable cups and other junk. Make it a point to explain to children that Mother Nature is a living world that must be shared with plant and animal life as well as preserved for many generations to come. Go outside with your children. Let them experience the growth of a flower, buzz of a bee and the beauty of countless stars sparkling on a warm summer night. The connection to mother nature is made by experiencing a sunset, feeling a rainfall and noting the change of a season in the angle of the light from the sun. Once we know that our life is a part of all life on Earth then we naturally protect and respect it. |
