Bloomfield Art Festival was a big part of the weekend

Posted Monday, June 14, 2010, at 12:33 PM

I'm happy to report that the Bloomfield Art Festival was on the Ferree-Puckett family's weekend agenda.

And it was H-O-T, but we had a great time anyway.

During the event, I was able to check out some great artwork, spend time with family and friends and catch up with several Bloomfield folks.

Did I mention the live music was a great added touch to the atmosphere? (Can't forget that one.)

Anyway, for a review on the first-time fest be sure to check out my story and photo(s) in this edition of the Greene County Daily World or at www.gcdailyworld.com .

In other business, I'm looking forward to the Linton-Stockton Class of 1990's 20th class reunion -- which is slated for July 3 at the American Legion Park in Linton.

Has it really been 20 years? I'm so glad that age is a state of mind ... for me anyway.

I ran into the class of 90's fearless class president, Jon Chaney, while at the Bloomfield Art Fest on Saturday. He asked that I spread the word about the reunion because no invitations were sent out.

Anyway, I really hope to see lots of classmates there ... and no nudity, please.

Since my last column I have laughed a lot more.

Just yesterday, Kade, Rams, Jazz and I were enjoying ice cream at a local eatery when I suddenly burst into laughter for no apparent reason. It felt good.

In wrapping up, I want to send out a big thank you to a local who recently sent me a letter that included several reasons why I should smile.

Some of the reasons were because I have a husband who loves me, great sons and a beautiful home. I felt like a million after reading that.
