Great Blue Heron
A wildflower workshop at the Linton library, A wildflower walk at Goose Pond Fish & Wildlife Area, Camping at several places all over the County, Fishing all over the County, Frog gigging in several places around the County (some of these frogs had legs as big as small chicken legs), Bird Watching is an activity that is continuing to grow at Goose Pond. In one birding trip we saw, Great Egrets, Cattle Egrets, Black Necked Stilts, Great Blue Herons, Black Crowned Night Herons, Yellow Crowned Night Herons. This is just a small sample of birds that are at Goose Pond and surrounding area. My friend Carl Beadle and I were talking about stress in people's lives in these hard times and getting out in God's nature is a great way to relieve that stress, seeing the birds, animals, wildflowers and plants has a way of helping one let that stress go. My Dad used to tell me stories of the Great Depression and how they would hunt, fish and gather wild plant foods to supplement their table in those hard times. Does it not make sense to do the same in these hard times? We live in a great place and have many opportunities to do the same thing. "Does it not make sense to do the same in these hard times?"
Is it legal to forage for food in the state forest? I know they're not big fans of taking dropped wood and such for recreational purposes, but what if you want to eat it? I'll have to take a Trichonympha supplement for that--gotta go check GNC.
Are there any unpolluted waterways in Indiana safe for fishing?
