We want to welcome new Linton-Stockton Chamber of Commerce member Bloomfield Supply and Hardware.
They are located at 628 Highway 231 in Bloomfield. Derek Rollison and his staff are open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. and on Sundays from noon - 5 p.m. In addition to hardware, plumbing and electrical supplies, they are also dealers for Scag, Dixie Chopper and Echo equipment and have a small engine repair and parts shop. They are a Pratt and Lambert Paint Store. Running Thursday through Sunday will be The Man Who Came To Dinner. Tickets are available by calling 384-3559. The performances for Thursday, Friday and Saturday begin at 8 p.m. and Sunday's performance is at 2 p.m. * Charlotte's Unique Boutique is now offering handcrafted jewelry by TIZO Designs. Many of you may recall that TIZO had a booth at the Linton Fall Festival last October and this July at the Linton Freedom Festival's Marketplace. Stop in today and see the large selection Charlotte has to offer. * A reminder that National Night Out, sponsored by the Linton Police Department, is Tuesday, Aug. 3. This is open to the public. There will be a wide variety of activities in the park that night from music, food, contests and games. The Chamber of Commerce will be sponsoring a dunking booth at National Night Out. Be sure to visit the booth and make an attempt to sink one of our willing volunteers. You will be able to purchase five chances for $1 in an attempt to sink our volunteers. Softballs will be provided. Our volunteers are listed below with their scheduled appearance time. 7-7:30 p.m. -- Linda Bedwell, Linton City Council; 7:30-8 -- Mayor Tom Jones; 8-8:30 -- Nathan Moore, Principal Linton-Stockton High School; 8:30-9 -- Debbie McDonald, Linton DARE Police officer; 9-9:30 - Cheryl Hamilton, Linton-Stockton Chamber of Commerce; 9:30-10 -- Tracy Keen, State Farm/Linton-Stockton Chamber of Commerce. * Aug. 17 will be the next membership meeting of the LSCC. This meeting will be held at the Phil Harris Golf Course. Lunch begins at noon. Our speaker for this meeting will be Dale Ankrom. Ankrom serves as the managing partner for the WestGate @ Crane Development Co., LLC. Ankrom will update our membership on the WestGate @ Crane Technology Park project. We are very fortunate to have him speak to our members, we hope you will all block the time and come listen to his update. Please invite a guest or potential new member to join you. The cost for lunch is $8 per person. * The Linton WorkOne office continues to offer through July and August several free basic computer classes and assorted trainings.
