The Boar's Nest is a 900 sq. ft. space connected to the house by a covered porch. The Boar's Nest offers a meeting space complete with conference table, white board, kitchenette and full bath. The Chamber's Annual Dinner is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016, at the Linton Elks Lodge #866. The doors will open at 6 p.m. and dinner will be at 6:30 p.m. followed by our awards presentation. We have great entertainment lined up for this year's program. We have booked Magician/Comedian Daniel Lusk to entertain you for the evening. Mark your calendars; you won't want to miss this fun time. Santa's house is open and ready for visitors. Santa has limited hours in his Linton workshop this holiday season. The hours for Santa to be in Linton are posted in front of Santa's house. We are in need of candy canes for Santa to distribute to children as they visit the Santa House. We have several downtown businesses who will be offering hot chocolate and perhaps a few more treats during Santa's hours.
Blessed by Grace is our highlighted Chamber Member this week. They are locally owned, located at 74 S. Main St. in Linton and their hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8-5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-3 p.m. They have new merchandise in store including scarves, jewelry, and ponchos and offer women's and women's plus clothing. Meals on Wheels is in need of your help. Funding has been cut for this valuable program in our community. A donation drive is underway to assist Generations Area Agency on Aging in bridging this funding gap. Generations oversees the Meals on Wheels program for Greene County. Pleasant Grove Farm's 9th annual Christmas musical and light display began at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6. This free event will play nightly from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m. and the last Christmas show is Dec 26. A Patriotic show will play from the 27th until Jan. 1. Tune to FM 99.3. Testing and assorted music may begin as early as Thanksgiving evening.

Greene 16 calendars are available in the Chamber office. The calendars are $10 each and benefit the county's Bicentennial efforts in 2016. The calendar's contain photographs of county landmarks.
