Glenburn Home will be hosting a Valentine's Alzheimer's Association Fundraiser called CHOCOLATE AND CANVAS on Friday, Feb. 12. They will be offering two sessions: 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.. It will be held at the Glenburn Community Center. Cost is only $35/per person and includes the 16 x 20 canvas painting that you will take home. Rediscover Downtown Linton (RDL) has their Open Your Hearts to Linton campaign in full swing. This includes the RDL Heart Attack. For a $5 donation to RDL, you can have hearts placed in someone's yard. For information on how to have hearts placed, call 812-699-1601.
Greene County General Hospital is preparing for a blood drive with Indiana Blood Center on February 12 at GCCH from noon to 4 p.m. The donation process takes less than an hour. WestGate@Crane Technology Park will hosting their next Small Business Open Hours on February 16 from 8 -- 11 a.m.. The Business Open Hours offers small businesses an opportunity to meet with regional experts. Following the open hours, a selected speaker will be available from 11 a.m. -- 12 p.m. to assist you in learning more about how to get your business of the ground and growing.
Glenburn Community Center will be on the road again on March 9 to see Sister Act at the Beef & Boards theater in Indianapolis and on April 21 a trip to Petersburg, Ky. is planned for a visit to the Creation Museum and May 19 a day trip to Bardstown, Ky. is on the calendar. Autumn Trace of Greene County will be holding public information session on Thursday, February 25 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Worthington Public Library. The meeting is open to the public and RSVPs are not needed. There will be light refreshments served. Linton VFW has their Taco Tuesdays each Tuesday serving from 5-8 p.m.. Dine-in is available in their Family Room or carry out is available.
Linton Moose Lodge is now serving hamburgers and fries every Wednesday evening beginning 2 p.m.; cost is $5.
Helping Hands: As announced at the Chamber's annual dinner, we have started a "Helping Hands" board at the Chamber office. If you, or an organization you are associated with, has a 'need', stop in and fill out a helping hand. We will post it on our board and help match your need with a local volunteer(s).
