A reminder to all members, our March meeting will be held at Greene County General Hospital on Tuesday, March 15 at noon.
We will be in the conference room and will be hearing from a panel of speakers from the hospital. Cost for the meal will be $10 per person. If you plan to attend, please be sure to submit your RSVP to the Chamber office so we can plan accordingly.
Please mark your calendars for our April 19 meeting. This will be at Glenburn Home at noon and we have a speaker from Midland Institute talking about their CEO program. We want to encourage all members to join us and hear this important presentation.
We have also secured our speaker for the May 17 meeting. Glenda Ritz, Superintendent of Public Instruction for the State of Indiana will be our speaker in May.

Mark your calendar for Saturday, May 21. That's the date for this year's city-wide yard sales. Once again the Chamber will be hosting at booth at State Farm Insurance, Tracy D. Keen's office. If you have items you would like to donate to our yard sale, please feel free to drop them off at the Chamber office or Tracy's office.
Join us in congratulating LSCC board member, Greg Sapp. Artisan Electronics, owned by Greg Gossett of Bloomington, announced this week the promotion of Greg Sapp to Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
Sapp lives in Linton with his wife and two daughters. He was hired at Artisan in 2007 as a Senior Test Technician and has worked his way up through the ranks as a team leader, security officer and contract manager.
In the last two years, Artisan has grown from a small company of seven to 30. During these years of growth, Sapp has stepped into a leadership role conducting Artisan's day-to-day business. Congratulations, Greg!
The Chamber is gearing up for the Linton Freedom Festival and we have events approaching in April to help with our fundraising efforts. The first will be the weekend of April 16 and 17 with the first motocross of 2016.
Our next event will be our Spring Fish Fry on Thursday, April 28 from 4-7 p.m. We wrap up April will our second motocross of the season on April 30 and May 1. Watch for details in the coming weeks on each of these events.
Voldico Insurance agent Daniel French has shared with the Chamber this week information regarding cyber protection. Daniel wanted us to be sure to share that there is coverage out there for businesses and it is very affordable and he recommends everyone check with their agent to make sure they have some protection in place.
Greene County Relay for Life is in full swing. They will be meeting March 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at White River Valley High School. If you would like to put together a team, consider sponsoring the event, please feel free to join them on March 10. Greene County General Hospital is offering yoga classes every Wednesday at 5:15 PM. Classes are in the conference room on the ground floor. Please bring your own mat. While recommended you contribute $5 per class, it is not required. For more information contact Amy at 812.847.5223.
Glenburn Community Center will be on the road again on March 9 to see Sister Act at the Beef & Boards theater in Indianapolis and on April 21 a trip to Petersburg, KY is planned for a visit to the Creation Museum and May 19 a day trip to Bardstown, KY is on the calendar. Linton VFW has their Taco Tuesdays each Tuesday serving from 5:00-8:00 PM. Dine-in is available in their Family Room or carry out is available.
Linton Moose Lodge is now serving hamburgers and fries every Wednesday evening beginning 2:00 PM; cost is $5.00.
UDWI/REMC has an exciting new service. The Speakers Bureau is a free service that UDWI is offering to any community groups or businesses.
