LSCC Chamber Members, please mark your calendars for our April 19 meeting. This will be at Glenburn Home at noon, and we have a speaker from Midland Institute for Entrepreneurship speaking about their CEO program.
We want to encourage all members to join us and hear this important presentation. We will be requesting your RSVP in order to properly prepare for this meeting. We have also secured our speaker for the May 17 meeting. Glenda Ritz, Superintendent of Public Instruction for the State of Indiana, will be our speaker in May. Again we want to encourage all chamber members to join us on May 17. As a reminder, our meetings are open to all Chamber members and their guests.

The Chamber has a busy April planned. Next weekend kicks off our motocross racing for 2016. Open practice is scheduled for Saturday, April 16 and racing will be on Sunday, April 17. Complete details on the motocross racing can be found on the LintonMX Facebook page.
Our second event for April is Thursday, April 28. That will be our annual spring fish fry. Tickets in advance are $8 for adults and $4 for children and are available at the Chamber office. The dinner includes fish, baked beans, slaw, applesauce, dessert and drink. This will again be at the Roy Clark Building in Humphreys Park. April 30 and May 1 will be our second motocross race weekend. Open practice is scheduled for April 30 and a full day of racing will be on May 1. Glenburn Community Center will be on the road again on April 21 a trip to Petersburg, Ky. is planned for a visit to the Creation Museum and May 19 a day trip to Bardstown, Ky. is on the calendar. June 22 they will be traveling to Myers Dinner Theater in Hillsboro to see the musical Happy Days and July 26 a visit to New Harmony's Red Geranium is planned. WestGate at Crane is launching their Begin 2 Biz series on April 19. Each session will be broken out into two sessions. The first portion is left open for the public to meet and connect with area representatives. The second portion will include a speaker (partnering with area chambers, regional communities, etc.). Watch for additional details in the upcoming weeks.
Capture Your Fitness 5K Run and Walk will be this Saturday at the Roy Clark Building. Events kick off this evening with a spirit/vendor fair and the race and associated activities kick off on Saturday at 7 a.m.
