Chamber Members: Our April meeting is Tuesday, April 19 at Glenburn Home at noon.
Our speaker will be Cheryl Mitchell from Midland Institute for Entrepreneurship speaking about their CEO program. We want to encourage all members to join us and hear this important presentation.
We have also secured our speaker for the May 17 meeting. Glenda Ritz, Superintendent of Public Instruction for the State of Indiana, will be our speaker in May. Again, we want to encourage all chamber members to join us on May 17. As a reminder, our meetings are open to all Chamber members and their guests.
We want to welcome to the Chamber membership RFP Management Group, LCC. Located in the Linton Shopping Center and owned by Jody Todd, they are a management group that manages resources for projects, procurement, sub-assemblies, kitting, personnel.
They have two facilities in Linton, offering a combined 50,000 square feet of space that include paved parking, onsite forklift, dock with large receiving area and many racking and storage options. The Chamber's spring fish fry will be on Thursday, April 28 from 4-7 p.m. at the Roy Clark Building. Advance tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children and are available at the Chamber office. The meal includes fish, baked beans, slaw, applesauce, dessert and drink. The proceeds benefit the Freedom Festival activities.
The second motocross for the 2016 season will be the weekend of April 30 and May 1. April 30 is open practice for riders and May 1 is race day.
Tastee Creations and the Linton-Stockton High School Junior class will be on site offering concessions. This is a great family friendly activity. For more information on racing, contact Linton Cycle Sales at 812-847-2043.
The Linton City wide yards sales will be Saturday, May 21.
Are you spring cleaning and want to clean your house and garage of unwanted items but do not want to host your own yard sale? The Chamber will gladly accept your items to place in our annual yard sale. You can drop you items off at the Chamber office or at Tracy D. Keen State Farm.
Launch Your Own Business Workshops
The Chamber is partnering with South Central Indiana Small Business Development Center (ISBDC) to host Launch Your Own Business Workshops.
Do you know anyone interested in owning their own business? Our first workshop will be Wednesday, May 25 at the Chamber Office from noon-2 p.m. This is a brown bag lunch workshop and a cost of $25 to cover the instructor and materials is required.

Greene County Shrine Club has begun serving their Friday evening meals on the first and third Friday's.
Friday, May 6 will feature Mexican food and Friday, May 20 will be steaks. Serving begins at 6:00 PM each Friday.

Glenburn Community Center will be on the road again on April 21 a trip to Petersburg, Ky. is planned for a visit to the Creation Museum and May 19 a day trip to Bardstown, Ky. is on the calendar. June 22 they will be traveling to Myers Dinner Theater in Hillsboro to see the musical Happy Days and July 26 a visit to New Harmony's Red Geranium is planned.

WestGate at Crane is launching their Begin 2 Biz series on April 19. The session is from 9-11 AM and next week's featured speaker will be Sawyer Sparks of Soy-Yer-Dough.
Each session will be broken out into two sessions. The first portion is left open for the public to meet and connect with area representatives. The second portion will include a speaker (partnering with area chambers, regional communities, etc.).
