February meeting set for Tuesday
Our February Chamber Meeting will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at noon at Monical’s Pizza.
Our speaker for this meeting will be Bob White from the state Farm Bureau office. We encourage all members to join us to hear Mr. White. Our March Chamber Meeting will be held on Thursday, March 23 at 5:30 p.m. at Greene County General Hospital’s Conference Room. We will be conducting training for our members on new features available to you through our website. Watch for additional information in the upcoming weeks.

The Chamber is once again promoting Greene County at the Indy Boat, Sport and Travel Show. If you plan to visit the show this year, be sure to stop by the Chamber booth located in the Champions Pavilion and say hello to our volunteers working. Our many volunteers will be there through February 26.
Chamber Day at the Statehouse: Chamber Members. Mark your calendar and plan to participate in ICEA’s Chamber Day at the Statehouse on Tuesday, March 14. Lunch will be at the Hyatt Regency in Downtown Indy. Following lunch the group will visit the Statehouse. The cost is $40 per member. This year’s Marsh Madness is quickly approaching. This year’s event kicks off at the Linton Elks Lodge on Friday, March 3. The balance of the activities and tours are on Saturday, March 4. The Hamilton Center has job opening available in Greene County. Full-time Care Managers positions are open in both Bloomfield and Linton. The qualified care manager should possess a degree in a human services related field with a minimum of one-year experience. Starting salaries for full time care managers range from $28,000-$35,000 annually. The qualified candidate provides individualized and medically necessary case management services on behalf of consumers and skills training directly to consumers. This includes direct assistance in gaining access to services, coordination of care, oversight of the entire case, and linkage to appropriate services. They are also seeking full-time therapists. Salaries range from $37,500- $53,000 annually and are commensurate with experience. Therapists are provided supervision towards licensure, continued education opportunities, and potential student loan reimbursement. A qualified candidate must conduct initial evaluation and client intake interviews; assess client’s presenting problems and formulate diagnosis. Develop, implement and modify, as necessary, client treatment plans. Carry out case management services related to clients’ treatment. Maintain an active caseload, providing individual, group, family, marital, child, and adjunctive therapies as needed and within area of expertise and limits of credentials. Greene County Foundation and Greene County General Hospital Foundation will be hosting their Laughter is the Best Medicine: a Benefit Gala on Friday, February 24. April 27 they will be visiting the Azalea Path Arboretum & Botanical Gardens and Broadway House Bistro. June 23 is a trip to the Belle of Louisville and Conrad-Caldwell House. Home Instead offers free monthly educational programs for senior care professionals (and others who may be interested). FREE CEUs (Continuing Education Units) are offered for these web-based programs. The program has been adapted for accreditation in cooperation with the American Society on Aging. CEUs are available for 60 days following each of the live events for social workers, case managers, senior advisors, dementia practitioners and long term care administrators. The courses, which began in 2010, are offered compliments of the Home Instead Senior Care network so there is no cost for the CEUs.
