Fat Like Me Weigh-In 1-5-10Posted Tuesday, January 5, 2010, at 10:54 PM
Well the big day is here. Time to admit to myself and confess to all of you my true weight. And trust me, it isn't pretty.
I weigh 323.4 pounds. I have a BMI of 43.9. So while my wife, from conception to birth, has gained a whopping 3 pounds, I gained a measly 36. Yeah, I know, I have issues. I am claiming sympathetic pregnancy. Obesity is anything 30 or greater. Overweight is anything over 25. To be within the healthy weight range I need to weigh around 184 pounds. I am not sure if I want to even be that thin. Yet, I feel like we need to set goals, and since goals can change, I am setting my first goal at 300 pounds. So to ALL of my readers. I simply request that you join me on this journey. Fess up every week in the comments below. Use an pseudonym if you wish to remain incognito, or be like me and put yourself out there and use your real name. The only thing I as is that you are truthful to me and more importantly, truthful to yourself. So let our journey begin, right after this last brownie. Really Matt....after this last brownie??? I am watching :-0!
My weight tonight is 240 pounds putting my BMI at 30 (obesity). I thought I was just overweight.
So Matt, my first goal is to lose 1 pound to bring my BMI to 29.9 (overweight). However, my ultimate goal is to lose 30 pounds.
You can do it Matt!
I thought BMI wasn't that good of a way measure whether or not one was overweight/obese.

That is all fine and dandy EggMan. But where is your weight?
I weighed in at weight watchers last night as well. Not pretty at 283.4. For my height I need to be at 113-141. I'll set my first goal at 241. 100 pounds away from being healthy. Just over 42 pounds, big goal but I know I can do it. :)
I'm currently tipping the scales at 346 lbs. with a BMI of 46.9
First weight loss destination: 325 lbs.
Not that I'm interested in the little challenge here, but I'm between a buck eighty and a buck ninety.

Way to go Matt. As long as you and your family has God in your lives, you will be able to lose the weight you want to. Good Luck!
I'm not sure what to say, Pepper2.
Maybe this will give me, and others, a boost to help lose some weight.
As of today, I weigh 207.2 lbs. (were my pockets empty..?) with a BMI of 35.5. My first goal is to be below 200 pounds.
Good luck, everyone. Here goes nothing...
