Feel The Burn

Posted Sunday, January 10, 2010, at 1:32 PM

I love Sundays. I get to sleep in compared to getting up at 4-4:30am every other day of the week. And I get to make breakfast. I usually eat breakfast, but I get to make the eggs, sausage (now of the turkey persuasion), and toast. The stuff I am too tired to goof with normally.

Well, this morning I was making breakfast. And not once, but twice, I rubbed my belly up against the pan I was making my eggs in. This is another reason I know I am fat. I cannot cook without a shirt on.

Now where is the burn cream.

Matt, here's a helpful tip for ya... you should never cook without a shirt on!!;) Also, burn cream is good, aloe vera gel for sunburns is also good. Good Luck to ya on your journey to better health. I, too, am trying to get back to a better shape. I'm afraid to post my weight because I'm not over weight, just out-of-shape since I had leave my job due to the cold temp. not allowing me to take along my little one (it was an out door job). Amazing how quickly the muscles lose their tone when not used like they are used to. Or maybe it was all the christmas goodies.

I'll join you Matt :) I resolved to not make any weight resolutions this year and to just come to terms with liking my body and accepting it for what it is. That does not mean becoming complacent, just not becoming obsessive. Obsessive + no results = burnout and quit. So, I'll post my starting weight of 156 and see where I go from here. My BMI by the way is 28.5. Why could it not just be easier to grow 3 inches?

thebooker5, there is a story of a Japanese ninja warrior that wanted to go to war, but was told he was too short. So what did he do? He went to a tall tree and hung himself upside down and stayed there, day and night, until he grew the few inches he needed to join the war. I don't figure you have that kind of time, but I just wanted you to know your options were open. Thanks for joining the fray.
