Fat Like Me Weigh-In 1-19-10Posted Tuesday, January 19, 2010, at 9:18 PM
The first week as a group we lost a total of 26 pounds. Congratulations everyone.
This past week I lost another 3.3 pounds for a total of 12.6 pounds. I now weigh 310.8 pounds with a BMI of 42.1. How did you do? How much closer are you to your goal? And since I know you are reading this up in Chicago Uncle Rick, I think you should join the fun. I expect to see your weigh-in this week. Another Pound Bites The Dust

well, for my first week in, I gained a pound.
But this week I am going to bake quite a bit less and incorporate more veggies as snacks. Maybe I should pull the treadmill out of the corner lol.
WTG matt :)
jI lost .8 pounds this week. Not a lot but since I lost 12 pounds last week I couldn't expect miracles this week as well. :) Just over 28 pounds left until my first goal.
Great to see the weight loss Matt & thnxn.
I lost 4.4 pounds this week, bringing my total loss to 9.6 pounds.
Matt, I started a similar journey about 13 months ago, on a bet with some friends. I was roughly 280 lbs at that point, but had been as high as 350ish just a few years prior. A lot of that 70 lbs came off as a result of:
no more pop
no more sweet tea
no more sugar/creamer in coffee
way less beer (I hit my peak weight in college).
In the first 9 months of 2009, I lost about 80 lbs by simple diet and exercise. I cut back my eating pretty drastically (no sweets or fried food, lots of fruit and veggies and water) and started an exercise routine of walking daily at lunch. When I saw my ideal weight was in the 180-200 lb range, I thought that was nuts, as I had never been that small since I was probably 14 or so. I set a goal of losing 50 lbs, but wasn't sure I would reach it. I increased my exercise routine and started running. The weight kept coming off as I kept going, and i've been holding steady in the 200-205 lb range since September.
You're off to a great start! keep it up!
Congrats Matt.....Keep on keeping on!!! Way to go. :-)
