Store bought green beans taste like tongue depressors

  • Yep. I'd pay a hundred bucks right now for a quart jar of my mother's shell-out green beans, and even more for the bowl full that used to hit the table with new potatoes cooked with them.

  • Unfortunately, big does not mean better, toooooo much fertilizer can be worse than no fertilizer. Living in Florida, what do I miss is the Tomatoes from our garden in Linton . Big juicy, and full of taste. I would go out to the garden with a salt shaker and eat one. Occasionally in the fall we get some Midwest tomatoes here in Central Florida but I would love to taste some home grown ones from Indiana. Not to mention green beans, corn etc.
