Who's That Doggie in the Window...

It's Wags
While in the midst of preparing for another political blog, something to which we all can relate sat in my lap. I am a dog lover. I love the way they can sense what is wrong with their owner, lick your face to show affection, wag their tale to show excitement, bark for your protection, jump into your lap just to say hello, and the other things that happen throughout the experience.

For the past seven years, my family has had the tremendous honor of having a dog in our lives. Throughout this time, she has brought us nothing short of happiness, and hopefully for another seven or ten years she will be able to do the same.

I mention all of this because it is interesting how a being that cannot talk or work can bring people an immense amount of joy. We trust these companions with our secrets, and they show their love for us with their devotion and protection. Our pets know when we are upset, sad, or happy, and willfully come to us to either comfort us or share our delight.

I love my dog (her name is Wags because she wags her tail all the time), and it is hard to imagine my life without her. She has been there for me, and I am there for to let her go outside for her to do her business. What love!

I am sure we all can say our pet is the best ever and debate that dogs make better companions than cats (and they do), but we all can agree that we blessed to have our pets in our lives. They only improve our lives and I am very thankful for them.

Till Next Time
