Thanks CherylPosted Thursday, April 21, 2011, at 12:03 PM
This week, Cheryl Hamilton attended her Linton-Stockton Chamber of Commerce meeting as the organization's executive director. She's leaving the Chamber for another position.
While working full-time at the newspaper, Cheryl was one of my go-to contacts. When I needed a story, I knew I could always get a few ideas from her. Some of my best memories from my days at the newspaper include interviews with Cheryl. Even though I'm not at the paper anymore, Cheryl and I have kept in contact, and I'm fortunate enough to be able to call her 'friend'.
While covering the Linton-Stockton Chamber of Commerce, I got a first-hand look at how much work she did. Let me tell you, she was a busy woman! Cheryl worked so hard to promote Linton. I honestly don't think many realize the hours and effort she put into making Linton the best it could be.
I know Cheryl will remain involved with the Chamber as she starts a new chapter in her life. Even though she's not originally from Linton or even Indiana, she truly is a Lintonian at heart.
Thanks Cheryl for all you have done (and will continue to do) for the city I love. |
