Conference Championship, College Golf's March Madness

March madness might be over, but the excitement of the college golf post-season play is just beginning. Friday April 23, 2010, marks the first round of the 2010 Mid-American Conference Women's Golf Championship at the Hawthorns golf course in Fishers, Indiana.

The MAC Championship is the most important event of the year for MAC teams. Winning is the common goal among the 9 teams. Unfortunately only one team can win and continue to the Regional. In the past, Kent State University has won by a considerable margin. This year looks to be a different story.

We had an amazing start to our spring season with three 6th place finishes in very strong fields. A slight downturn in the middle of the season was nothing to worry about as we bounced back and played well at the Indiana Invitational. Now we head into MAC on the upswing (no pun intended).

All of our hard work this off-season and season is for this one weekend. We've put our time and effort into being the best golfers possible, and now it's time to reap the rewards.
