Mayor was creative in making Linton a better place.

Posted Sunday, March 6, 2011, at 10:01 AM

Many may think if you do not paint pretty pictures you are not creative. That is just not the case.

While reading the articles and blogs about our Mayor Tom Jones, it suddenly occurred to me that this man also possessed the talent for creation.

Creation in making our city of Linton a better place.

Creation of self esteem by helping a young golfer be better at his game.

Creating shirts and providing equipment for sports teams that made our lives so much more enjoyable.

Creating wonderful smiles on youngsters faces passing out Halloween candy with Patti.

And of course, the creation of his family and the love for them.

We all hold the ability to create.

Some just do it in different ways.

We will miss you Tom.
