There is a new art exhibit in the northeast gallery at the Carnegie Heritage & Arts Center of Greene County featuring portraits and photography of local artist Terry Smith.
Terry has been a photographer/artist for over 30 years and shoots nature, sports and people photographs. His artwork has been displayed in the Hoosier Salon and his photographs in several venues.
In the past, he has been an instructor for the advanced photography workshops held the past two years at the Carnegie in conjunction with the Marsh Madness as well as a judge for artwork at Ivy Tech College in Terre Haute.
The opening art reception to highlight Terry's work will be Saturday, July 9 at the Carnegie from 2-4 p.m. Mark your calendar to stop by, visit with the artist and enjoy his wonderful artwork.
Other new additions at the Carnegie to check out are oil paintings by Lelia J. Mottern of Newberry and chainsaw wood sculptures of Drew Perkins.
The Carnegie is open Tuesday from noon-3 p.m., Wednesday-Friday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturdays from noon-3 p.m. when visiting artists are there.
Hope to see you there!
