Show Support for Student ArtistsPosted Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at 8:50 AM
Linton-Stockton art students' work will be on exhibit in the east gallery for two weeks beginning Friday at the Carnegie Heritage & Arts Center of Greene County, 110 East Vincennes, Linton.
Wyatt LeGrand teaches intro and advanced 2-D and 3-D art, drawing, painting, ceramics and digital design and is hoping to have at least one piece of artwork on display from each student. The show will feature both 2-D and 3-D work from students. Media will include graphite, charcoal, paintings, ceramics, plaster sculpture, textiles, and prints. The high school art club will also be helping organize the show. An opening reception will be Friday from 5-8 p.m. with refreshments provided along with guitar music by accomplished musician and student Justin LeSuer. Don't miss the chance to support and encourage our young artists and musicians! Hope to see you Friday from 5-8 p.m., or if you miss the opening, the Carnegie is open Tuesday through Friday 11 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturdays by appointment. Donna is president and founder of the Carnegie Heritage & Arts Center of Greene County. She can be reached at www.mcklues@gmail.com . |
