"Tools of the Trade" Exhibition at the Carnegie
For over 30 years Tony Kluesner has been creating by designing and building homes.
Even though he holds a commercial art degree he had never ventured into the fine art of painting until the past year when his wife asked him to create on canvas using only a pallet knife and no brushes.
The current exhibition opening Dec. 18 through Jan. 18 at the Carneige, " Tools of the Trade" is the result of this venture.
Abandoning the palette knife Tony decided to paint with the very tools he uses to build his homes such as a putty knife, hammer, pry bar, notched trowel, angle finder, screwdriver, drywall knife, saw blade and nail set making a very unique and different mode of creating.
In this show not only will you be able to view amazing paintings created with only "tools of the construction trade," the tools used to create these works will also be on display.
Tony says, " I love to create with my hands," and also believes if God gives you the talent to create you should use that talent to bless others. Not only does he create through his art and building, but also plays music on the steel drums in churches and nursing homes.
The opening reception will be held this Sunday, Dec. 22 from 1-4 p.m. at the Carnegie. Be sure to stop by, meet the artist and view art created in a very unique style.
Hope to see you there!
