Carnegie to Host Open Art Show at Fall Arts Festival this Saturday
Eat a great breakfast, buy a handmade item, play a few games and be sure to take in the Fall Open Art Show at the Carnegie!
The Open Art Show is open to any area artist that wishes to display their work giving a great opportunity to promote the area artists.
If you haven't been inside the Carnegie (old library) since it was restored you are missing a great experience.
The 1908 historically land marked building is quite amazing.
Inside not only will you see the art show in the Southeast Gallery, but the Carnegie houses the Phil Harris/Alice Faye memorabilia and history of the area.
During the Fall Arts Show, accomplished author, Ruby-Moon Houldson will be set up at the Carnegie promoting a writing contest and giving valuable information about writing.
Fred Markle will also be giving history tours which we so much enjoy. The old stories will be lost if we don't tell them, and Fred has the gift of telling them well!
After enjoying the Linton Fall Arts Festival and want to venture to other side of the county you can take in the Solsberry Hometown Fair which will also be this Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Don Collier from the TV series "High Chaparral" will be there signing autographs and you can get your picture taken with him.
There will be food, fun, festivities and all day raffles with some really great prizes. Free caricature drawings, local food and craft vendors will be set up with lots of nice items for sale.
Make a note to get out and experience the Arts this Saturday. So many have worked long hours to bring this to our area for you to enjoy.
Don't miss it!
