Meet your Area Artists!
In an effort to bring awareness of our local artists to the community the Carnegie Heritage & Arts Center will be having a guest artist on selected Saturdays from noon to 3 p.m.
This Saturday, March 19, Pat Woodall will be at the Carnegie Center from noon -3 p.m. She will be demonstrating her painting and welcomes other artists to come, paint or observe in a workshop-type setting.
Pat is a well-known local artist who teaches art and also owned an art shop for several years.
The next scheduled artist is Cheryl Helms, photographer from the Bloomfield area on Saturday, April 9, from noon-3 p.m.
* The Carnegie Gift Shop is now open.
The shop has handmade items by local artists: Handmade purses by Lori Wade, photography by Cheryl Helms and paintings, handmade baskets and pottery by Pat Woodall are just a few of the items available.
* The Carnegie Heritage & Arts Center is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday from noon to 3 p.m.
* Be sure to mark your calendar for this Saturday to pack up your paints, canvases and brushes, meet at the Carnegie Center at 110 E. Vincennes Street in Linton from noon-3 p.m. and learn from one of our county's artistic treasures, Pat Woodall!
