We can enjoy constant fellowship with God
Let the Dead Arise
"And if the Spirit of Him Who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, [then] He Who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also restore to life your mortal (short-lived, perishable) bodies through His Spirit Who dwells in you."
(Romans 8:11, AMP)
God's Spirit permanently indwells every believer at the moment the individual commits his or her life to Christ. This same Spirit of God is the very spirit that will also raise our mortal bodies up from the dead, just as Christ was raised from the dead.
The Spirit of God takes our once dry and spiritually lifeless bones, and makes us children of God. When we receive the Spirit, God breathes into us that we may be revived. God is in the business of giving us mouth-to-mouth resuscitation so He may bring us back to life! Before we became Christians, we were as dead. But now we are adopted by the Spirit, are to be led by the Spirit, and we will be raised through the Spirit.
Not only is the good news that our mortal bodies will be resurrected with Christ but God also intended us to live a fruitful life here on Earth. Life here in this scripture also pertains to this life. God wants to revive every matter of this world that concerns you. Nothing is too big or too small for God. If it concerns you, it concerns Him.
Through Jesus Christ, God can restore your body back to health. He can restore the covenant of your marriage. He can give you financial restitution. He can mend every area of your life that needs to be restored back to life. David prayed that God would "restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free Spirit" (Psalm 51:12).
To truly live is more than physical existence. We don't just want to be alive ... we want to thrive. To merely live without experiencing true resurrection in every area of our lives is to be as meager animals, barely existing on earth. Experiencing a special quality of life is a special gift God desires to give to all His children.
The Spirit of God dwells in us -- meaning, Christ assumes a ruling position in our mortal bodies. Think about it, this also means that everything Christ can do, we can do also. Are we living in power and authority on earth as Christ did or are we simply wanderessly roaming about the earth?
We can enjoy constant fellowship with God here on earth ... we don't have to wait until our mortal bodies are resurrected from the dead.
