L-S Chamber to host motocross racesPosted Thursday, September 8, 2011, at 2:54 PM
The Linton-Stockton Chamber of Commerce is looking forward to another successful Motocross Race, scheduled for Sept. 17 and 18 at the Linton Conservation Club.
Practice will be Saturday, Sept. 17 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. The race will be Sunday, Sept. 18, 7 a.m. sign-in, 9 a.m. practice, and racing begins at 11 a.m.. Light concessions will be available on Saturday and full concessions will be available on Sunday. Prices are: Saturday practice, $15; Sunday gate fees $4 for children under 10, $7 for adults, children 5 and under are free; $25 riders first class, $20 each additional class. Rain date is Oct. 1-2. The Chamber luncheon will be Sept. 13 at the Elks Lodge at noon. Chamber member, Greene County Tobacco Prevention & Cessation, will be co-sponsoring a Greene County Women's Health Conference Oct. 15 from 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Bloomfield for only $10 per person. Registration forms can be picked up at the Chamber office. L-S Chamber is also preparing for the annual Buy Indiana Expo at the French Lick Resort & Casino on Oct. 25. This expo gives the opportunity to Hoosier companies to showcase their business products and services for NSWC Crane. Workshops will be held to educate businesses on how to conduct business with the Federal Government. Registration forms for this event can be found online at www.lintonchamber.org . Last, but not least, we are looking forward to the Linton Fall Fine Arts Festival on Oct. 29. Vendor space is still available, so please contact our office for registration forms.
