Online poll offers early glimpse at Nov. 2 election
It's not real difficult to figure out that the election is just three weeks away.
Newspaper ads. Yard signs. TV ads. Political rallies.
Nov. 2 will prove to be an interesting day for the political landscape in Greene County, Indiana, and the nation.
There are many upset voters out there wanting to send a message.
Only time will tell what that message will be.
The Greene County Daily World realizes the importance of this election, so we've decided to give our readers a chance to express their views before they actually go the polls Nov. 2.
We're conducting a straw poll on our website, www.gcdailyworld.com. At the top of the home page you'll see the ad that states: Greene County Election Survey. Click on the link and vote. It shouldn't take more than five minutes.
You'll be able to take part in the survey from Friday at 8 a.m. to the following Thursday at noon. Then in Friday's newspaper we will give you the results.
The final day the poll will be open is Oct. 28, and the results will be in the newspaper Oct. 29.
You may vote just once per computer IP address, but once the survey closes at noon Thursday and reopens Friday at 8 a.m., the voting starts over.
This straw poll is not scientific, and voters are not restricted by requirement to be eligible to vote in specific districts. Results are provided as entertainment, and as an indication of voter passion for those using the Greene County Daily World's website.
We will also compare the actual results from the Nov. 2 election with the final results of the online straw poll.
We hope you enjoy the election survey.
