Pray for the Todd familyPosted Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at 7:55 PM
Death comes at an hour and a time that is never known or pre-announced.
A rural Bloomfield family is grieving today after a tragic traffic accident Monday morning that claimed the life of 73-year-old Morris Todd and seriously injured his 66-year-old wife, Judy. The Todd's were traveling about 7:20 a.m. Monday eastbound on State Road 54 -- east of Bloomfield -- when their car was hit head-on by a van driven by the couple''s daughter-in-law, 44-year-old Beth Todd. Police say the collision was an unfortunate tragedy when Beth Todd apparently fell asleep while driving home after working a third shift at a Bloomington pharmaceutical company. She was not seriously hurt. What an uncanny coincidence this accident turned out to be. What do you think are the chances of driving down the road -- falling asleep -- and then running into a car carrying your in-laws? I can't even imagine the mental anguish this ironic accident has caused for the family members involved. At this time the best thing all of us as a community can do is pray that this family finds the understanding of how such a tragedy can occur and we pray they receive strength to go on in wake of this devastating event. May God grant them peace and comfort. Comments Showing most recent comments first [Show in chronological order instead] |
