Treasurer’s office working to address concerns, suggestions
We have wrapped up tax collection and working diligently to address any issues or concerns that are presented to the office.
We upgraded the paper quality for the tax statements in hopes to resolve the issue of them separating on their own and that only made the issue worse. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We will make changes for next year to include a non-perforated second page in the tax statements as well as a different receipt.
We hope the insert in the statements, with all the options to pay, served as a useful tool in ways to pay your taxes. Tax collection went well with no lines and minimal wait periods. The most popular way to pay taxes is still by mail, however, this year the web and phone payments drastically increased in use as well as the new way to pay at Owen Community State Bank in Linton. We love your suggestions and developing this office to be your office. We will continue to grow with your comments, praise and concerns.
If there are any concerns or issues that need to be addressed, please feel free to contact me at any time. We are always here to help and I do answer my phone and email after hours if this something that arises that needs to be resolved. I have told many people to not worry overnight about taxes, just contact me. We can work through it.
Remember, the fall due date is Nov. 13 due to Veterans Day this year.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful spring and enjoying these gorgeous sunny days. Again, the coffee is hot, the snacks are here and we would love to meet you all. Have a great day!
