A contingent of more than 65 volunteers wanting to bring awareness about the growing problem of sexual assaults marched a symbolic mile around the Greene County Courthouse square on Thursday wearing some not-so-familiar footwear. Some wore pump heels, spike heels, flip-flops, tennis shoes, work boots and rubber boots as they walked, jogged or ran around the courthouse square five times. The event dubbed "Walk a Mile in Their Shoes" featured the men strutting around in a variety of sizes and colors of high heels or flip-flops, while the female volunteers laced up more macho-like shoe attire.
