This year's Open House at the Greene County Courthouse on Friday, December 5, features trees decorated with ornaments and garlands handmade by Greene County students, a courtroom full of unique items donated for a silent auction, students performing Christmas carols and holiday refreshments.

A clock donated by Roger Doane features a scene of the Viaduct with an Indiana Rail Road train on top. Other clocks contributed by Doane feature the Bloomfield Library, Greene County Courthouse and the covered bridge.

Earlier in the week the Magistrate's Courtroom was empty but CASA and Voices for Kids volunteers were working to decorate the room and by Thursday, the tables were full of items donated for the Silent Auction.

On Thursday, Voices for Kids volunteer Jean Anne Sanders and CASA Director Samantha Flath were checking their lists and making final preparations for the silent auction on Friday.
