Edgar Allan Poe, Wadhwan-style
Thursday, March 22, 2018
By Patti Danner and Amy Wadhwan
WRV freshman English and sophomore Honors English teacher Amy Wadhwan and her class recently took learning to a new level. While studying "Masque of the Red Death" by Edgar Allan Poe, Wadhwan's students created their own masks for a masquerade party. Everything from the colorful masks created by the students to the treats that were served related directly to Poe's work, either through allegory, symbolism or theme, giving the class a fun way to gain an in-depth understanding of the literary classic.
