How many times has the phrase "It sure would be nice if something would move into the GE or Sunbeam buildings" been uttered the past five or so years? Probably too many to count. Linton mayor Jimmie K. Wright, though, may come the closest to being able to answer that question. A week doesn't go by that he's not asked about the vacant buildings, and the possibility of getting some decent-paying jobs for the area...

Linton City Council changes vendor ordinance

The Linton City Council on Monday night voted to rescind an old ordinance dealing with produce vendors setting up in Humphreys Park, and voted approval of a new lease agreement form for the vendors. NESC to replace school bus

The Northeast School Corporation board of trustees on Monday discussed school bus replacement, renovations at two of its high schools, and a grant that will pay for technological improvements.
