Jimmie K. Wright out of hospital, back to work

Linton mayor Jimmie K. Wright has returned home following a three-day stay in Greene County General Hospital. Wright's physician, Dr. Eric Wilson of Linton, put him in the hospital Sunday for observation and to regulate Wright's heartbeat. Lyons to check out its water tower

The Lyons Town Council agreed at Tuesday night's meeting that clerk/treasurer Bonnie Keene should call Leary Construction Company (LCC) and ask them to inspect the town's water tower. The council explained that due to peeling paint and the condition on the outside of the tank, the Indiana Development of Environmental Management is questioning the condition of the inside of the tank and wants an inspection as soon as possible...

Bags did contain meth items

Two bags of trash found by police near Jasonville on Wednesday morning proved to be full of remnants of a meth lab. According to Indiana State Police Trooper Mark Parker, the ISP Drug Lab team was called to the gravel road, CR 900N, to open the bags after a Jasonville police officer alerted ISP to the situation. A smell of what police believed to be anhydrous ammonia and/or ether was very noticeable around the plastic bags...
