No matter what anyone tells you, recalling events 50 years ago is not "just like yesterday." I wrote my first newspaper article for the Indiana Daily Student in 1952. It doesn't take a math wizard to figure out that makes me a 50-year veteran in the newspaper business. It's been a great ride, but it's time to call it quits and get on with some of the "important" things in life ---- like getting to know more about our 22 grandchildren (number 23 is on the way)...
