Linton National Guard mobilized

The Linton National Guard has received mobilization orders. According to Lt. Col. Jim McGillivray, over the weekend the Linton group "went from alert to mobilization." The roughly 150 members of the 1-152 Infantry First Battalion of the 152nd Infantry Regiment will be notified individually as to when they are to report. They are being mobilized as a part of Noble Eagle/Enduring Freedom. Noble Eagle is the homeland security and Enduring Freedom is a part of the global war on terrorism...

GCHS to resume animal control on Friday

The Greene County Humane Society will resume the duties of county-wide animal control once again, beginning Friday. The GCHS had to stop doing county-wide animal control on June 1 of this year, due to lack of money.
