Vandals strike historic covered bridge

Vandals defaced the historic Richland-Plummer Creek Covered Bridge, south of Bloomfield, sometime last weekend by spray painting obscene words along the east side exterior wall of the 120-year-old structure. Linton receives grant

The city of Linton has received a $300,000 grant from the Indiana Housing Finance Authority to assist nine families with rehabilitation of their existing residences. The grant was awarded in IHFA's Housing from Shelters to Homeownership program which uses federal investment partnership funds, Community Block Grant funds, and money from the Indiana Low Income Housing Trust Fund to be used in a variety of ways, including: Emergency shelters, transitional housing, youth shelters, rental units, homeownership units and homeownership counseling/down payment assistance.. ...
