Monkeypox virus hits close to home

The confirmation that a Terre Haute woman is infected with the monkeypox virus has brought the disease close to home. State health officials report there are currently 12 probable and seven suspect monkeypox cases in Indiana. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has confirmed five cases of monkeypox through laboratory analysis.
