Low local voter turnout expected

If history is any indicator, less than a third of Greene County's registered voters will go to the polls Tuesday to cast ballots in the Primary Election. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. at 33 voting precinct sites in the county. Few local, state or national races are contested among the two major political parties ---- meaning voters will likely sit out the primary and wait for the "head to head" races in the November General Election, according to Marjorie Cullison, of the Greene County Voter Registration office.. ...
