The owner of the property being developed as part of the Goose Pond project has reportedly called off the deal to sell the land to that state -- saying the $5.5 million offered to him was not to his liking. However, Ray McCormick, a wetland advocate from Vincennes, who is close to both land owner Maurice Wilder and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, says he is still very optimistic that a compromise can be worked out prior to any kind of auction sale...
