Anthony Bowers of Linton had a rude awakening around 7:30 this morning. Bowers was headed home from work at Triad underground coal mine when he fell asleep at the wheel while northbound on State Route 54. The white Chevy S-10 he was driving, registered to his brother, James Bowers, veered off the east side of the highway and struck a utility pole head on. The accident occurred in front of the Ernest Nolting residence. Bowers was uninjured...
