Jasonville Senior Center rug makers looking for help

JASONVILLE ---- The Jasonville Senior Center has been raising money by selling handmade rag rugs. But now they need a little help to keep the project going. Howard Lee and Lester Reed have been the two main weavers for the group since the project started about seven years ago. Shakamak Spanish teacher hired, preparing for class

Wounded cattle attacked by dogs

James White, of Newark, who recently had trouble with his cows being wounded in the hoof area, said now his cows are being victimized by neighboring dogs. After 13 of his cows and his bull had been wounded in the hoof area, he currently is contending with a calf that was killed as it was being born.
