It is hard to believe but I am beginning my 10th summer as pastor of First Baptist Bloomfield. I arrived in June 1998 with much eagerness and enthusiasm for the work that we would be doing together -- an enthusiasm that continues today! And throughout all the summers that we have shared here there has been the consistent serenading of happy voices -- the chorus of children laughing across the street from the church at the town pool. My voice, and the voices of my family, have often been a part of that chorus: church swim parties, birthday parties, swim lessons -- many happy hours passed splashing away in the cool waters of the Bloomfield Pool.. ...
