Bloomfield man dies in Owen County crash

FREEDOM -- A 38-year-old Bloomfield resident, who had been the object of a "failure-to-arrive" search early Tuesday morning, lost his life in a single-vehicle crash a short distance south of Freedom on State Road 67. The victim was identified as Michael S. Thompson, who lives in Hashtown just outside the Bloomfield town limits, according to Indiana State Police Sgt. Curt Durnill.
