Jimmie K. Not much else needed to be said in Linton or most any place in Greene County. The man was known. He was a political kingpin in this south-central Indiana county for decades. Jimmie K. Wright was a pillar of the community for many years and a visionary whose guiding touch will be felt for countless future generations to come...

I was sad to hear of Jimmie Wright's passing. Greene County Daily World General Manager Chris Pruett called me at home, told me the news, and asked if I would jot down my thoughts, and share some memories. The first thoughts that came to mind were "colorful," "controversial," and the perfect mayor for Linton, Indiana (at least I thought he was the perfect Mayor for Linton), as well as the perfect head of the Democratic Party in Greene County...
