Greene County woke up to a blanket of snow and slippery roads Wednesday morning and the first slide-off was reported at 4:12 a.m. on County Road 1000 West, also known as Lone Tree Road, at Baseline Road. By mid-morning, REMC trucks were on the scene in Switz City making repairs after icy roads caused a vehicle to slide off and hit a utility pole at 9:24 a.m.

To the Editor: Are we finally going to get a Farmer's Market in Linton? We have needed this for a very long time. It will be nice to buy fresh garden produce right from the farm. I think the farmers should be given more time to sell their produce. Allow them four hours on Saturday plus four hours on Wednesday. Some produce will not keep well from week to week ... sweet corn for example...
