Number of registered voters up more than 1,300

There will be more than 1,300 additional Greene County residents eligible to vote in the May 6 Primary than were registered for the previous primary or general elections. The registration period closed April 7 for the upcoming Primary Election. Greene County Voter Registration Clerk Marjorie Cullison reports a registration total of 19,041. That's a 1,388-voter increase over the 2006 Primary Election registrants when 17,653 were eligible to cast ballots in the county...
