Greene County District 1 Commissioner Kathy Crouch has filed a formal complaint with the Indiana Public Access Counselor against her two fellow commissioners alleging they violated the Indiana Open Door law earlier this month. Bloomfield School Board makes hiring of athletic director official: Monica Abernathy gets the job

The Bloomfield School Corporation has a new athletic director. In a split 4-3 vote, Monica Abernathy, of Elwood, was approved by the board as the new AD for the 2008-09 school year during Thursday's meeting.The recommendation to hire Abernathy came from Superintendent Dan Sichting. Board members Steve Dowden, Bob Kirk and Doug Frye cast the dissenting votes. Board members Marvin Helms, Eric Moody, Keith Hanauer and Sandy Parkes May supported the superintendent's recommendation.
