An Utilities District of Western Indiana REMC spokesperson says that there are a "handful of outages" in the area, and they will be taken care of as soon as possible. The problem is getting to the outages because of the flood waters. UDWI REMC has a "skeleton crew" at the office west of Bloomfield, and one crew on the east side of the county and one on the west side of the county...

Our county commissioners hired a company for the sum of $85,000 and we are yet to get the new addresses. This company informed the commissioners that it would take up to a year, well the year has come and gone and so has the months this company has said to expect them. I feel our commissioners start things and forgets at times what they started and paid for with our monies...
