A neighborhood meeting designed to give Linton residents a voice concerning the needs of its aging adults will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday at the Roy Clark Building in Linton's Humphreys Park. UPDATED: Niebrugge sentenced for what judge calls 'a crime of violence'

A former Linton business owner was sentenced Tuesday to seven years in prison with three years suspended for his part in what the judge calls a "crime of violence" that unfolded last July. Anthony J. "Tony" Niebrugge, 38, of Linton, was sentenced in Greene Superior Court to jail time with the Indiana Department of Corrections (DOC) plus three years of probation. He was also assessed fines and court costs on a class C felony count of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.
