Freedom Festival patriotic prayer service Linton Assembly of God is hosting a special patriotic service Sunday at 10:15 a.m. There will be a strong "God and Country" theme, featuring a variety of patriotic presentations in music and media. Its focus will be offering thanks for those veterans who have served our nation in the armed forces, and offering prayer for current soldiers serving our nation (especially those of the 151st infantry from the Linton area). ...

Dugger woman arrested on on Parke County bench warrant

Judge denies Jeremiah Moore's request to withdraw his guilty plea

A motion to withdraw the guilty plea of rural Linton resident Jeremiah K. Moore was denied during a hearing in Greene Superior Court on Tuesday morning. A new date of July 3 was set for his sentencing hearing. Heavy trucks doing damage to county roads

A high volume of heavy truck traffic is taking its toll on a couple of county roads near Lyons that have been increasing used as detours since State Road 57 was closed due to a road washout caused by the floods earlier this month.
